As refugees from Ukraine, Sudan, Congo, and other countries arrive in Utah, LHI helps by working with resettlement agencies to set up apartments with all needed household items. It is federally mandated that refugee apartments are set up with specific items before move in. If these items are not donated, then the small, one-time stipend given to refugee families must be used to purchase them. Providing the items helps families feel welcomed and settled in and also saves them money for other important needs. Thank you!
